This fall, Iota-Gamma welcomed 22 men as its newest associate member class. They come from across California, from Modesto, Ripon, Merced, Los Banos and Salinas to Clovis, Fresno and Monterey Park, and they are studying everything from mechanical engineering and flight science to animal science and history.
A letter from our recruitment chairman
Recruitment is about more than bringing new members into Lambda Chi Alpha. For us it’s about finding men who want to be part of something bigger than themselves. This recruitment season, our goal was to build a class of men who share our values, embrace brotherhood, and are committed to growing together. Through the process, we welcomed a new Associate Member class that represents the future of our chapter. We’re proud of the men who chose to join our brotherhood and look forward to watching them grow into leaders, build lifelong friendships, and be part of a chapter where everything just means more.
As High Delta, my job is to set the standard for recruitment and bring in men who align with our values, building an Associate Member class that strengthens our chapter and its future. Seeing this class come together and knowing I played a part in that will always be one of the most meaningful experiences of my time in Lambda Chi Alpha.

Why I joined Lambda Chi Alpha: I felt like Lambda would be a good way for me to make friends in college and be more involved. Everyone was really welcoming from the first time I came, and it seemed like a good place for me to grow.

Why I joined Lambda Chi Alpha: I chose Lambda Chi because one of my best friends from high school is currently a brother, and he had nothing but great things to say about the fraternity. When I first came to the house, I quickly realized that everything he told me was true. What I’ve enjoyed most so far is how real and genuine the relationships are between everyone in the house.

Why I joined Lambda Chi Alpha: I decided to join and stay with Lambda Chi Alpha because of the friendships I have been making along the way. I was first recommended by an alumnus, J’fon (Iota-Gamma 1426), who showed me what it was like when he was in Lambda Chi Alpha, and I wanted to take on that opportunity. Not only is this an opportunity for me, but it is also a great way to learn about being in a committed brotherhood and all the responsibilities that come with it.

Why I joined Lambda Chi Alpha: I chose Lambda Chi because of the people in this fraternity. Everyone I have met is genuine with each other. They care about you and want to get to know you, rather than treating you as just another number. I also chose it because I’m a legacy in my family and I want to keep that legacy going.

Why I joined Lambda Chi Alpha: I came to Fresno not knowing anything about fraternities, but once I came to Lambda Chi I instantly clicked with all the guys.
